3.5 Boarder Meals
Boarders are provided meals throughout the day in accordance with the Daily Routines.
3.5.1 The Refectory (the fec)
Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner are served in the Refectory with two sittings most days. On Tuesdays and Fridays, Boarders are provided an
outside lunch, weather permitting. Boarders are also provided with morning & afternoon tea.
Meals are served cafeteria style and attendance is compulsory (rolls may be marked).
At breakfast each morning, students are all required to stand for a senior to say grace.
Dress Rules apply per the Uniform policy.
Staff or seniors will make announcements at meal time and students are required to pay attention.
3.5.2 Supper
Supper is provided during a break in Prep, or after movies and quiet hour on weekends. Students in years 11 & 12 are issued supper boxes from the refectory. Supper is consumed in the common areas in the dorm blocks. Students must pack and clean up before going to bed. Students are to return supper boxes at breakfast for replenishment. Year 11 & 12 students must provide their own mug and any other cutlery or crockery required.
Years 7 & 10 have supper in the refectory and are rostered onto supper clean-up in dorm groups with their dorm Prefect to supervise. They are to:
- place cups & plates into rinsing tubs
- rinse urns (cold water only).
- sweep and mop floors as appropriate.
- take rubbish to bin.
- tidy up tables and chairs.
3.5.3 Canteen
The Canteen operates during the normal school day but also provides a range of merchandise for the boarding students similar to that of a small general store. As well as during recess and lunch, the canteen is open longer hours for special events, and before and after school for the convenience of boarders.
The Canteen has EFTPOS facilities and cannot accept cash. All items can be purchased via the flexischools app.
