3.7.5 Weekday Leave
The following conditions apply for boarders seeking to take leave on weekdays, in conjunction with 3.7.1 Approval and General Conditions of Leave.
Minimum colour level for each of the following leave types is green, unless specified otherwise.
3.7.5.1 Overnight Leave
Leave for overnight stays during the week is only available when with parents and should be used sparingly. A standard REACH Leave Application is to be submitted and approved before overnight leave can be taken.
3.7.5.2 Town Leave
Students may go on leave after school to go shopping when required. This leave is not automatically granted as Saturday morning is the designated shopping day. Individual cases will be approved on their merits. Students should book this leave at 7:00am at the duty office. Space on the afternoon bus is limited, hence priority goes to Medical appointments, students on Approved Activities and to students on higher colour levels. Students on Early Risers are not permitted to go on leave after school.
A REACH Leave application is not required for this leave.
3.7.5.3 Host Leave
Students wishing to go on leave on weekdays after school with adults other than their parents/carers (the Host) must have an approved leave application in REACH prior to the leave event. These students must return to school and sign in at the duty office before Prep commences. Exceptions may be made for birthdays.
3.7.5.4 Weekday Night Leave
Leave from the school after dinner is only permitted one (1) night during the week for students in Years 7, 8 and 9, to ensure students are not missing excessive Prep time. This Leave may only be with the parents of the student or an Approved Activity.
Year 10, 11 and 12 students can go on Leave during the week provided the Deputy Principal Residential is happy with the completion of their Senior Prep Program.
A REACH Leave application is required for this leave.
