Cropping & Pastures

Pastures and cropping, as essential components of most farming enterprises, is undertaken at Farrer.

Lucerne, oats, barley and sorghum are produced, some of which is processed into feed for our other livestock activities and associated classes. We are currently moving towards greater involvement of the students in the sowing, management and harvesting of crops and pastures.

Irrigation of pastures has been substantially improved with the introduction of the Renewable Solar Project.

Choosing the right school for your son is very important. The best way to decide if Farrer is a good fit is by exploring our campus and talking directly with our team. We invite you to book a tour of the school, ask lots of questions and see first-hand what we have to offer your son and your family. We look forward to meeting you.
