Parents, Teachers & Friends (PT&F)
The Parents, Teachers & Friends Association (PT&F) is an open forum for parents, staff and community members who share a common interest in the school. This group plays an active role in issues relating to the education of students, fundraising, promotion of the school, and is the primary vehicle for providing feedback and community consultation.
Membership
Membership is $5 per annum or $25 one off payment that remains valid for the duration of your son's time at Farrer.
Meetings
Meetings are held on the third Monday evening of each month in the Farrer Boardroom. Online attendance is also available via Google Meet.
Start time is 7:00pm-7:30pm.
The first meeting of the year is a social BBQ to introduce new families to each other.
Support Groups
Support Groups are subgroups of the PT&F based around the following locations:
- Central West Support Group is based around the Dubbo region
- Northern Support Group is based around Narrabri and Moree
- Northern Tablelands Support Group is based around Glen Innes
Members meet the “faces” they see at school functions, share a network of knowledge and are able to represent the opinions of parents who live too far from the school for regular visits. The aim of the support groups are to build friendships, communication with the school, fundraising and encourage pride within the Farrer Community. The groups hold meetings twice per year usually at the home of a boarder parent.
