Year 12 Agriculture students have been completing their beef product study
Year 12 Agriculture students have been completing their beef product study, learning about all stages of beef production throughout the term. To complement their studies, the students visited a range of local businesses to view many of these stages first-hand, including the Teys Abattoir, Tamworth Regional Livestock Exchange saleyards and a local supermarket.
The day concluded with a fantastic barbeque full of the value-added products purchased at the supermarket, which will later written about in their upcoming assessment task! This unique experience has helped students gain a better understanding of where beef comes from, and the many important steps needed to get it from the paddock to the plate.
