Quiller Cup 2024
Our creative writers have been challenged to a duel this year, with the winner receiving the Quiller Cup as recognition of their outstanding creative writing skills.
Farrer has implemented the Quiller Cup this year in recognition of the school’s best creative writers. The competition requires the students to pen an imaginative prose composition in the genre of science fiction in less than 1000 words. The competition was hotly contested, with judges debating the merits and ranking of each entry.
Five students were recognised for their outstanding efforts with Ned McDonald, Lachlan Penberthy, Mitchell Irwin and Ethan Ford receiving a highly commended medallion at assembly last week and Nate Harvey taking out the trophy. We will formally recognise Nate’s talent at Speech Day when he is presented with the Quiller Cup.
Farrer will run this competition annually.
