Northern Schools Steer Competition.
GRAND CHAMPION!!!
Great news in today from the Northern Schools Steer Competition.
After the judging of the carcasses. Farrer students were pleased to hear that their Limo X Angus steer that placed 2nd in the led competition was able to continue his success and was awarded 89 points for his carcase traits and quality. This resulted in him receiving a 2nd in class and Reserve Champion Carcase award.
When combined with the live placings the Farrer Steer was awarded the OVERALL GRAND CHAMPION STEER ON HOOK & HOOF.
This is a major achievement. Congratulations to the students for their outstanding efforts and the Farm Staff for their assistance in feeding and transporting the steers.
Looking forward to next year’s shows.
