Gifted and Talented Finds the Best Start to the Day
Students in the Gifted and Talented roll call are finding that the best way to start the day is to engage in fun and challenging activities. Students in Year 8, 9 and 10 have the opportunity to join the Gifted and Talented roll call and test their skills in a range of subject areas.
So far this year, GAT students have been introduced to Spintronics and Turing Tumble, which teach students the fundamentals of electronics and computations, and are currently learning to solve Rubik’s Cubes. Students will be turning their attention to coding next term, with the use of Microbits and Lego robotics.
Students who excel in areas such as academics, creativity, problem solving, leadership, and who have an interest in science and technology are encouraged to apply for the Gifted and Talented program.
