Doesn't get any better than this!
At Farrer, we are always grateful to receive feedback from members of the community on our students’ behaviour outside of our school
environment. On a particular note, Principal Gallagher recently received an outstanding message from Ian Clark, Managing Director of
Melbourne Cable Park, praising our students and staff from Farrer Memorial Agricultural High School:
"Good Evening Clint,
My name is Ian Clark and my wife and I are the owners of the Melbourne Cable Park. Over the past two weeks we have hosted two school camps
groups from Farrer Memorial Agricultural High School at our venue.
I am writing to you to provide some positive feedback about your student and their teachers.
We host an increasingly diverse range of Private and Government schools from both Metro and Regional campuses and we get to see the full
range student (and staff) behaviours.
Your students and staff (without exception) set the bar to a new level.
Their manners and positive attitude were exemplary. Their behaviour was without fault. It is extremely uncommon for so many of our staff
to speak so highly of a school and their student body.It did not matter if they were listening during safety briefings, saying thank you
to our staff after being fitted with a safety harness or simply being served at the café by one our team. Their positive attitude and
manners were impressive beyond words.Of particular note was the “thank you” handshake that I personally received from each of the boys as
they left the Park this week. A solid firm handshake (no wet fish handshakes), eye contact and a sincere “thank you”. It blew me away.
Your boys are light years ahead of so many students we see.
The other standout was the positive relationship between the students and teachers. It is hard to put into words but there was a
respectful bond / cohesion across the entire group. I would best describe it “everyone getting on with everyone” in a positive and
respectful manner.
I am sure that too often you may only hear negative feedback and I wanted to take a moment to let you know that you and your entire staff
should be immensely proud of the product of your ongoing hard work and efforts.Keep doing what you are doing – Your students (and
teachers) are wonderful credit to your school and your entire community..."
We are incredibly proud of our students and teachers for setting such a high standard of respect and excellence.
Thank you to Ian Clark and the team at Melbourne Cable Park for the kind words! Your feedback is truly appreciated and has made our day.
We’re incredibly proud of our students and staff, and it’s fantastic to see their positive attitudes and respect being recognised. Keep
shining, team Farrer!
