Charles Sturt University Visit
Farrer Years 10 and 11 students travelled to Charles Sturt University - Wagga Wagga with students from 4 other schools in our region to tour the facilities and experience what it's like to study in the fields of agriculture, animal science, and veterinary medicine.
Students were involved in hands-on practical workshops identifying the different bone structures between carnivores and herbivores, measuring organic matter in soil samples, measuring sugar content in wine and identifying different meat cuts and their values. They also heard from current students about the exceptional learning and career opportunities available at CSU.
Thank you to Farrer Careers Adviser, Rob Arranz and the team at CSU for organizing this amazing opportunity for the students and to Rotary Club of Wagga Wagga for providing some excellent food for the day.
