The Worlds Greatest Shave
Farrer’s Class of 2025 proudly participated in the World’s Greatest Shave, a fun yet meaningful event dedicated to raising awareness and vital funds for the Leukaemia Foundation. With 53 Australians diagnosed with blood cancer daily—one every 27 minutes— this year’s cohort aimed to shed light on the impact of the disease.
To support the cause, all 84 Year 12 hosted an auction where students and teachers bid for the right to shave their heads. The event kicked off with Principal Mr. Gallagher auctioning off his own hair, followed by the big shave on Monday, 24th February.
So far, $91,253.60 has been raised! The Farrer community thanks everyone who contributed, helping fund essential services and research for those affected by blood cancer.
We look forward to supporting the Class of 2026 as they carry on this proud tradition, continuing to raise awareness and funds for this important cause.
