The Worlds Greatest Shave

The time has arrived for the Class of 2025 to take part in the World's Greatest Shave! The World's Greatest Shave is a fun event with a serious message - to shine a light and raise much needed funds for the Leukaemia Foundation. Every day, 53 Australians are diagnosed with a form of blood cancer, which is one Aussie every 27 minutes. These numbers are extraordinary, and this year’s cohort hopes to raise a greater awareness of the disorder.

To demonstrate their support and spark a conversation about the worthy cause, Year 12 will also host an event at Farrer where students and teachers will auction off the right to shave their head. The event will commence with our Principal Mr. Gallagher auctioning off his hair to be shaved at next week's school assembly. The Year 12 students have been growing out their hair and will have the big chop on Monday 24th February.

Students have already begun their fundraising efforts and will be conducting further fundraising and awareness spreading throughout Tamworth and broader communities.
