Mother's Day at Farrer

Not all our boys were able to spend Mother’s Day at home. That didn’t stop them thinking of the important women in their lives as they spent the morning preparing something special for next time they see them.


Dubbo Prime Lamb Competition

Students James O’Brien, Jack Rees, Hayden Benson, Archie Crowe, Harrison Hine and Drew O’Connor represented Farrer at this year’s Dubbo Prime Lamb Hoof & Hook Competition and gained success.


Great Nundle Dog Race

Last Sunday a group of boys volunteered their time to support Nundle Public School at the ‘Great Nundle Dog Race’.


Yamba Fishing Trip

It was a bad day to be a fish in Yamba last weekend. The rain and wind didn’t stop our boys from having an epic time on the water Saturday morning.


Farrer at Greater Western Rugby

A group of Farrer students participated in the Greater Western Rugby League Trials in Coonabarabran on Friday, May 3rd. The students who attended were Ted Haire, Preston Latham, Ollie Sawyer, Darcy Weatherall, Lance Latham, Luke Jeffreys, Dustin Wyrzykowski, Harrison Thrift, Leif Deitrich, Lachlan Hawkins, and Jordan Hamlin.


Community Spirit at Farrer - Rotary Park

Last Saturday, Farrer General Assistant Brad Hoad brought a group of senior Farrer boys to help assemble the second backboard on the Rotary Calala Park half basketball court.

New Zealand Rugby Union

The first week of the holidays saw a team of Year 11 and 12 students take off to New Zealand to represent Farrer in Rugby Union.

ANZAC Day March 2024

Farrer took part in ANZAC Day marches around the state this year to great community feedback. Farrer takes pride in its marching each year and we were delighted to see wonderful community engagement.

ANZAC Day Assembly 2024

Farrer students gathered for one final marching practice followed by an assembly for ANZAC Day this morning. This year's theme Remembering Indigenous Service was presented by Zak Power, Rex Barwick and Tom Gwalter with Jack Herden on the bugle performing The Last Post.


Farrer First VII Water Polo

Farrer’s First VII Water Polo team travelled to Newcastle on Wednesday and Thursday 4/5 April to contest the Water Polo State Knockout.


Year 8 Science Flower Dissection

Today in Miss Bishop’s Year 8 science class, students explored the different structures in pink lilies through a flower dissection.

Elective Visual Arts Gallery Visit

On Monday the 25th March, Farrer Visual Arts elective students were fortunate to have an opportunity to visit the Tamworth Regional Gallery to view their current Art Express exhibition.

Farrer Year 7 Opportunity Hub

Farrer Year 7 students welcomed Sam, Matty, and Latrell from the Tamworth Local Aboriginal Land Council’s Opportunity Hub, who conducted a story telling program at the school.


Farrer Year 7 Cricket Competition

On Friday 22 March, the Year 7 Cricket competition ended with a round of finals.


Under 15s and 17s Water Polo

Congratulations to the Farrer Under 15s and 17s Water Polo teams, victorious in the all-Farrer Grand Finals last Saturday.


Farrer 2024 Swimming Carnival

The annual Farrer twilight swimming carnival was held on Wednesday 27th March with the house captains starting the first race, setting a spirited tone for the rest of the carnival.


Farrer Year 11 'Just a Farmer' Private Screening

On Friday 22 March, Year 11 were treated to a private screening of ‘Just a Farmer’ at Forum 6 Cinemas in Tamworth to support our very own superstar Oliver Overton.


North West Swimming Championships

Last Tuesday 18 students competed at the North west Swimming Championships. Our 13, 14 and 15 years relay teams won and qualified for the NSW CHS Swimming Championships next term.


Stage 4 Science and Engineering Challenge

On Wednesday 20th March, the Year 8.1 Science class ventured to the TRECC to compete in the Stage 4 day of the Science and Engineering Challenge.

Students travelled to Copacabana this weekend to complete their Bush To Beach Surf Rescue Certificate.
