Refectory "The Fec"

Feeding growing boys is an important full-time job.

The Refectory at Farrer Memorial Agricultural High School, affectionately known as "the Fec," is a vital part of the school's boarding facilities. It consists of a modern kitchen and a spacious dining hall designed to cater to the nutritional needs of the school's active, growing students.

The Fec is staffed by professional cooks and a team of kitchen and dining room assistants dedicated to the nutritional care of the students. The catering staff are trained in hygienic practices and the management of food intolerances and allergies, prioritising the health and safety of the students.

To provide variety and maintain nutritional standards, the Refectory operates on a five-week rotating menu. This approach ensures that students receive wholesome and nutritious meals while enjoying a diverse range of food options.

The Refectory's commitment to quality and safety is evident in its excellent 5-Star Rating from the Scores on Doors NSW Hygiene and Food Safety Scoring program3. This rating underscores the high standards maintained in food preparation and service at Farrer Memorial Agricultural High School

The Refectory staff prepare over one thousand meals a day, as well as cater for excursions, social and sporting events.
