Josh completed his internship at Farrer in 2005, and has been deeply involved in every aspect of the school since. He has been a Duty Master for several years, taking an active interest in the pastoral care of Farrer students. In 2020 he became the Head Teacher of HSIE, and has continually reaffirmed his enthusiastic passion towards the education of our students.
Josh has been heavily involved in Farrer sports, including coaching/training and managing at every level of Farrer Rugby League. He now sits as the Chair of the Farrer Sports Committee, where he can assist from an administrative perspective to ensure there is effective support for our coaches and participants.
Josh has also taken the lead role in the implementation and orchestration of Quality Teaching Rounds here at Farrer which supports, promotes and enhances effective teaching, as well as facilitating meaningful dialogue and collaboration among staff.
Further, Josh is our school’s ARCO (Anti-Racism Contact Officer) which has enhanced his supportive role within our school. In this role he also works closely with our Aboriginal Support Officer to support our Aboriginal students, as well as implementing anti-racism and education programs that enhance the educational experience of our students and support culture and cultural appreciation.
