Year 11 Leadership Camp
Year 11 attended their four day Leadership Camp at Lake Keepit in week 1 of term 4. The students engaged in group challenges, workshops and presentations. Batyr visited the camp and presented an hour long session on mental health. Other workshops were run on relaxation, study skills, resilience, supporting your peers and leading the school. The physical challenges included raft building, archery, canoeing, mountain biking, low ropes, giant swing, stretcher relay and the two forward one back challenge.
A highlight of the camp was the visit of Mr Wade who contributed to the ‘Panel’ which is a Q and A activity run on the final night. At the conclusion of the camp the prefects were announced and the nominees for captain gave a speech to their peers. Year 11 subsequently elected their captain, vice captains and sports captains. A special whole school assembly was held on the Centre Lawn to present the new student leaders to the school.
