During July our school was notified that one of our Year 10 students, William Clinch, was to be awarded a prize in the Senior Secondary section for his artwork titled “Self Portrait” at this year’s 2016 University of New England Acquisitive Art Prize.

William was one of 64 finalists chosen from more than 640 art entries this year.

NERAM said “the work demonstrated the application of a very high standard of technical skill as well as creative expression”.

William was awarded the Director’s Choice Award, which the Director of NERAM, Robert Heather, presented to him. This award is of the highest level as he was selected from the 64 finalists.
