Six of our students, under the supervision of Mr Darren Smith, White Suffolk Stud Manager, travelled to Dubbo to compete in the Dubbo Prime Lamb Hoof & Hook Competition, held between the 11th & 13th May at the Dubbo Show Ground. Mr Smith said it was a keenly fought competition with over 800 sheep across 16 different breeds competing for the prizes.
Our students, Billy Swain, Jack Almond, Thomas Rains, Hugh Shadwell, Mitchell Saxby and Robert Wippell, (and sheep) performed extremely well and came home with a swag of prizes:
Highest Dressing Percentage Entry
Reserve Champion School Entry
Dubbo Stock & Station Agents, Agents Choice Award Trophy
Export Hoof Class Results: Hook Points 85/100. Hook Position 5,6
Export Hoof Class – overall position 14th
Congratulations to these students on such a terrific outcome.
