Sam Barden, a boarder from Narrabri, was thrilled with his HSC results achieving three Band 6’s in: Senior Science, Mathematics and  Industrial Tech – Wood. This was the most Band 6’s achieved by an individual student at our school.

When asked how he felt Sam said “I am pretty stoked with my results, as I had put in lots of work & heaps of study”. He also said “I set myself a goal and achieved it, but I’m pleased it’s all over though. I do miss my mates and the friendships I forged during the six years I was at Farrer. I am looking forward to the future and I will stay in contact with ‘my brothers’ I made at school”.

For the moment Sam is working hard harvesting in an attempt to save money in preparation for tertiary study. Next year he will be studying a four year Business Commerce degree at Newcastle University.
